- Allow access to your contacts if you haven't done so previously.
Select a contact from your phone book.
If your contact is registered with Midi and has successfully verified their identity, they will receive the payment request directly in their account. However, if they have not yet completed their registration and identity verification, the payment request will rehome pending until they do so. In the meantime, you can cancel it at any time.
- Add the amount you want to request.
- Select the currency you want to send from the available currencies.
- Enter the amount you want to request from your contact.
Tap "Continue" to continue the process.
Note: Midi has a monthly sending limit for all users, which resets on the first day of each month. If you exceed the limit, you'll be notified with a message and will need to adjust the sending amount.
- Review and confirm the payment summary to ensure there are no errors in the payment request.
Enter your 6-digit pass code.
Note: If you don't remember your pass code, you can tap the "Forgot your pass code?" button to begin the pass code recovery process. You'll be asked to verify your identity before you can set your new pass code.
Invite your contact if they were not registered in Midi.
Note: If your contact doesn't have an active Midi account because they haven't completed registration and identity verification, you'll see a message inviting them to download the app to receive payment. In the meantime, your payment will be pending until your contact completes the process, and you can cancel it at any time.
All done! Your payment request will be sent to your contact so they can proceed with the payment or decline it. If your contact hasn't completed registration and identity verification, the payment will be pending until they complete the process and respond to the request. You can cancel it at any time.
Note: If your contact rejects the payment request, we will notify you by in-app notification and by email.
